निजामुदीन ब्रिज से डासना तक एनएच -24 को 14 लेन करने का फैसला नैशनल हाइवे अथॉरिटी ने कर लिया है। लंबे इंतजार के बाद हाइवे को चौड़ा करने के लिए नैशनल हाइवे अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया ( एनएचएआई ) ने टेंडर जारी किए हैं। हाइवे के चौड़ा होने के बाद 28 किमी लंबे इस रूट पर ट्रैफिक के दबाव को कम करने में मदद मिलेगी। वहीं , 22 किलोमीटर लंबे डासना - हापुड़ स्ट्रेच को 6 लेन का किया जाएगा। खास निजामुदीन ब्रिज से डासना के बीच तक 6 लेन रोड का इस्तेमाल एक्सप्रेस - वे के तौर पर होगा। बिना रुकावट ट्रैफिक मूवमेंट के लिए इन लेन में सीमित वाहनों को ही इंट्री दी जाएगी। जबकि बाकी 8 लेन का इस्तेमाल सामान्य हाइवे की तरह होगा। इसमें चलने के लिए वाहन चालकों को कोई चार्ज नहीं देना होगा। ग्रुप हाउसिंग प्रोजेक्ट्स ने पैदा की जरूरत एनएचएआई के अधिकारियों के अनुसार निजामुदीन ब्रिज से डासना कॉरिडोर को चौड़ा करना इस वक्त काफी जरूरी है। यह रूट न सिर्फ एनसीआर बल्कि देश का सबस
